We are currently hiring multiple energetic Swim Instructors who have a passion for kids and the water. Must be able to work 2 shifts per week (min 8-10 hours) and be available 1 weekend day minimum. A willingness to learn and have FUN is a must! Paid training is provided, so prior swim experience is not necessary. We'll give you all the tools you need to be successful in the water, so don't be afraid to jump in to this opportunity! Must be 15 years or older.

A Few Things About Us:

  • Training is paid and Lifeguard/CPR courses are provided in-facility once per month exclusively to Goldfish employees!
  • Shifts are set each week and consistent until YOU request a new schedule! And we pay a higher rate for Tuesday morning shifts.

Some Swim Teacher responsibilities include:
  • Making a difference in children's lives by teaching them life skills including swimming, diving, floating, treading water, and even how to be brave, building confidence, and celebrating each small success!
  • Being fun and positive at all times- even when life is hard for us, our students deserve our sunniest selves!
  • Providing continuous feedback to students and parents weekly after lessons
  • Ensuring swimmer safety during class and encouraging students to follow the "Golden Safety Rules"
  • Once per month required to attend paid in-service & training outside of regular working hours.

Qualifications / Experience:
  • Previous swim instruction or swim coach experience preferred for teaching position, but not required.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Relate well to children, parents, team members, and have great communication skills.
  • Must have or obtain AED/CPR/First Aid certifications as a condition of employment within 90 days (Courses are provided by facility staff once per month, limited exclusively to Goldfish Swim School staff members!)
  • Shallow Water Lifeguard certification - Ellis preferred, Red Cross accepted. We provide in-school lifeguard training, as all of our teachers are required to become lifeguard certified.
  • Required to attend monthly trainings to keep up with certifications
