Job description

About Mercor

Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We're a leading AI data company, building the layer between human expertise and frontier models. Millions of domain experts on the platform are paid over $4 million per day to train frontier AI models. Mercor's APEX benchmark family measures AI's real-world impact on professional work. Mercor Enterprise brings this same infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies: helping companies capture how their best people actually work, translating that expertise directly back into agents.

Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast‑paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in‑person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.

About the Role

As a Member of Technical Staff, iOS, you'll help build the next generation of Mercor's mobile experience for tens of thousands of AI experts around the world.

Our mobile platform is becoming a core part of the expert experience—from discovering projects and completing onboarding to collaborating with AI‑powered workflows. You'll work closely with Product, Design, AI, and Backend Engineering to build intuitive, reliable, and high‑performance native iOS experiences that directly improve expert engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

You'll join a small, fast‑moving engineering team with significant ownership. From your first week, you'll ship production code, contribute to technical decisions, and work directly with product leaders to shape the roadmap. This is an opportunity to help establish Mercor's US mobile engineering capability while building products used every day by thousands of AI experts.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and ship high‑quality native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.

  • Own features end‑to‑end—from product discussions and technical design to implementation, testing, and release.

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, AI, and Backend Engineering to deliver customer‑facing experiences.

  • Build reusable SwiftUI components and create polished, intuitive user experiences.

  • Optimize application performance, reliability, testing, and release quality.

  • Leverage modern AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining a high engineering bar.

  • Contribute to the long‑term architecture and engineering standards of Mercor's mobile platform.

  • Solve real customer problems and continuously improve expert engagement and experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production iOS applications.

  • Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.

  • Experience shipping production applications through the App Store.

  • Strong understanding of modern mobile architecture and engineering best practices.

  • Comfortable building products using modern AI development tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar) to accelerate software development.

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

  • Excellent product intuition—you enjoy building products that people actually use.

  • Comfortable working in fast‑moving environments with evolving priorities.

  • High ownership, curiosity, and a bias toward shipping.

Why Mercor

  • Impact: Build products used every day by tens of thousands of AI experts and directly shape the future of the AI workforce.

  • Ownership: Join a small, high‑velocity engineering team where you'll own features end‑to‑end and influence product direction from day one.

  • Learning: Work alongside world‑class engineers, product leaders, and AI researchers building products at the frontier of AI.

  • Growth: Rapid career progression with opportunities to expand ownership as the mobile platform and engineering organization scale.

Benefits
  • Bi‑annual performance bonus structure

  • Generous equity grant vested over 4 years

  • Up to $15k Relocation bonus

  • $10K housing bonus (if you live within 0.5 miles of our office)

  • $1.5K monthly stipend for meals

  • Free Equinox membership

  • $200 monthly laundry reimbursement

  • $200 monthly personal wellness reimbursement

  • Health, Dental, Vision insurance
