Salary range (but not limited to):

101,800 - 124,400

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role

As a Senior iOS Developer, you will play an essential role in the design and evolution of iceberg, Intact's design system (Android, iOS, React, and Angular). You will facilitate the work of iOS developers within product teams and become a subject-matter expert for your peers, while actively contributing to the technical direction of the iceberg team.

What you'll do here:

  • Analyze, plan, develop, maintain, and evolve the iceberg iOS library (SwiftUI, distributed through SPM and CocoaPods) to facilitate native mobile development.
  • Integrate Intact's design system and ensure that it aligns with iOS design patterns and guidelines (Human Interface Guidelines).
  • Design, build, and maintain highly reusable, versioned, and documented code that supports multiple brands.
  • Collaborate with partner developers (Android, React, and Angular) within the iceberg team to ensure the consistency and future evolution of our solutions.
  • Act as the iOS point of contact for the iceberg team with product and design teams.
  • Support product design workflows by addressing questions and issues related to the iOS platform.
  • Contribute to the quality and reliability of components through automated testing (Maestro, Perfecto) and accessibility audits.
  • Participate in design reviews to validate the implementation fidelity of Android and iOS components.

What you bring to the table:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, including 3 years creating native iOS applications at a senior level.
  • Extensive experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Experience with UIKit and knowledge of the iOS Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Experience designing and maintaining reusable frameworks/libraries distributed through SPM and/or CocoaPods.
  • At least one published mobile application, ideally in a high-volume user environment.
  • Examples demonstrating both strong iOS development skills and an understanding of iOS design patterns, including design patterns, architecture, and accessibility.
  • Experience with Git and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Understanding of design tools (Figma) and the ability to collaborate closely with UX designers.
  • An asset: experience with mobile automated testing tools (Maestro, Perfecto) and cross-platform design systems (Android/Compose, React, Angular).
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork, innovation, open-mindedness, and having fun.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Bilingualism. Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
