Garver seeks a Municipal Project Manager to join our growing Transportation Team in Overland Park, KS or Kansas City, MO to continue the tradition of providing reputable service to our clients and adding to our award winning culture.
Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Project management
  • Sub-consultant coordination
  • Project/task scheduling
  • Civil Design
  • Plan production oversight
  • Preparing cost estimates
  • Quality Control
  • Training other engineers
  • Client relationship building
  • Technical experience should include:
    • Geometric design for roadways/intersections
    • 3D Design experience
    • Drainage design
    • Construction sequencing and traffic control
  • Marketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Missouri and Kansas, or will have the ability to obtain reciprocity
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience
  • Practical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD)
  • Experience with AutoCad Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer or InRoads and/or other roadway design software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on Kansas City Metro and/or Missouri municipal clients
  • 3D Design experience
  • Utility Relocation Coordination Experience
