Job description

Job Description The Dishwasher is responsible for knowledge of sanitation specifications. The Dishwasher responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and safety of all kitchen areas. Dishwashers must be able to multi-task well and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Sweep, scrub, and mop the entire kitchen floor, ensuring mats are removed and lined to be cleaned. Assist the FOH when needed to sweep and mop the dining room floor and behind the bar. Deep clean under the Bar Wells to ensure we pass Sanitation Inspections Clean the Drains in the Bar and BOH nightly to ensure we pass Sanitation Inspections Scrub and wipe down the entire dish room including dishwasher, walls, shelves, and sinks.

Clean all doors using a cloth towel and soap to prevent scratching. Sweep, scrub, and mop all walk-ins and freezer floors in the cage. Scrub and clean all bus trays.

Scrub and remove all black stains from pots. Scrub and remove all day dot stickers from pans and plastic containers. Soak and scrub all cutting boards.

Scrub and clean all dirty pizza dough trays. Soak and clean all coffee cups, glassware, dishware, and silverware. Running dish and glass racks only when full and ensure the appropriate rack is used for glasses and dishes.

Handling all glasses, plates, bowls, and all other equipment very carefully. Making sure no silverware is thrown away or put in with linens. Take out all garbage, boxes, scrub and clean all garbage cans consistently throughout each shift and before each shift ends.

Seeing that any reusable supplies are salvaged. Clean and put away all food and cleaning supplies in storage areas. Ensure the proper care of all kitchen equipment.

Make sure the dishwasher has been cleaned before the end of each shift. Red Badge Requirements Must obtain a Red Badge Security Clearance. Will collect and take out the garbage as needed during the shift, and one final garbage run at the end of the shift ensuring all garbage, recycling, and glass is taken out.

Will replace all garbage receptacles with the proper garbage bags and re-set for the AM crew. Will do "cage runs," meaning the dishwasher will go downstairs and pick up any food items from the cage for the BOH kitchen staff. Skills / Experience Must possess a valid King County Food Handler Card.

Demonstrates the ability to effectively interact with fellow team members in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner. Works well in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and accident prevention principles.

Understanding of kitchen equipment and their standard usage. Physical Requirements Work in an open-air environment and move throughout the restaurant within the airport. Work outdoors less than 25% of the time.

Must possess the ability to lift, bend, and kneel. Ability to work in environments that can be smoky, noisy, hot, cold, or humid. Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance and lift 50 pounds with assistance.
