Job description

About the Role
This is a senior executive opportunity to lead marketing strategy across a growing portfolio of franchise-based consumer service brands. The company currently owns and operates three franchise concepts and is actively pursuing additional acquisitions. Each brand operates within the consumer services sector, supported by a corporate marketing infrastructure with individual franchisees responsible for unit-level execution.
The SVP, Marketing will own marketing strategy, brand equity, franchise marketing support, and the systems needed to onboard and integrate new brands as the portfolio grows. This is a rare opportunity to build a scalable, multi-brand marketing engine that serves both franchisees and consumers across diverse concepts.
Position Summary
The SVP will serve as the senior marketing leader across all portfolio brands, responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive franchise growth, consumer awareness, and brand equity. This executive will work closely with brand operators, franchise development teams, individual franchise owners, and the Chief Creative Officer to ensure brand consistency while enabling local market relevance. The ideal candidate brings proven multi-brand franchise marketing experience, a track record of M amp;A brand integration, and understands the unique dynamics of building consumer brands at both a corporate and unit-level scale.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy amp; Leadership
  • Develop and own the overarching marketing vision; collaborate with the Chief Creative Officer on brand strategy and creative direction across all portfolio entities, with clear delineation of ownership between the two roles.
  • Ensure brand consistency in messaging, visual identity, tone, and customer experience across all franchise locations and platforms.
  • Lead brand positioning for each concept, tailoring strategies to each brand's unique consumer audience.
  • Partner with the President and senior leadership to align marketing initiatives with business growth, franchise development, and M amp;A objectives.
Franchise Marketing Support
  • Design and implement marketing toolkits, playbooks, and resources that empower franchisees to execute brand-compliant local marketing.
  • Establish a franchise marketing advisory structure to gather franchisee input and communicate corporate direction.
  • Partner with franchise operations teams to launch new units with impactful grand opening campaigns.
  • Own franchisee marketing communications, training, and support infrastructure at scale.
Franchise Development Marketing
  • Own the franchise development marketing funnel end-to-end: lead generation, discovery days, prospect nurture campaigns, and conversion.
  • Develop compelling franchise prospect materials that differentiate each brand in the competitive franchise marketplace.
  • Track and optimize franchise development marketing KPIs in partnership with the franchise development team.
M amp;A Brand Integration
  • Develop and lead a playbook for onboarding newly acquired brands into the corporate marketing infrastructure — including brand audit, system migration, franchisee communication, and marketing fund governance.
  • Evaluate and harmonize the MarTech stack and vendor relationships across new acquisitions to eliminate redundancy and drive efficiency.
  • Support due diligence on acquisition targets by assessing brand equity, marketing infrastructure, and franchisee marketing compliance.
Digital Marketing amp; Performance
  • Lead digital strategy, including SEO/SEM, paid social, email/SMS, app-based marketing, and organic social media.
  • Oversee the internal marketing agency team and all external agency and vendor relationships.
  • Own performance marketing and analytics to drive measurable ROI across awareness, acquisition, and retention campaigns.
  • Own the membership and loyalty marketing strategy to drive subscription growth across brands.
  • Leverage data and customer insights to continuously optimize campaign performance and consumer lifetime value.
Technology amp; MarTech
  • Own or co-own the marketing technology stack across portfolio brands, including CRM, loyalty platforms, attribution tools, and POS integrations.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology investments that improve marketing efficiency, franchisee experience, and consumer data capabilities.
  • Ensure data governance and marketing compliance across all brands and digital touchpoints.
Team amp; Budget Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team across brands; manage internal staff and external partners.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets across all portfolio brands, ensuring efficient allocation and accountability. Own the Brand Fund budget and execution in compliance with FDD requirements.
  • Report regularly to executive leadership on KPIs, campaign results, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
Required
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a franchise organization (multi-unit or multi-brand preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in franchise marketing systems including FDD-compliant advertising funds, franchisee support structures, and system-wide marketing programs.
  • Experience integrating acquired brands into an existing marketing infrastructure, including brand audits, system migrations, and franchisee onboarding.
  • Proven track record of building consumer brands in service, wellness, pet, or family/children's sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in digital marketing: paid media, SEO/SEM, social media, CRM/email, and mobile/app marketing.
  • Experience managing membership or subscription-based customer acquisition and retention programs.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a marketing technology stack across multiple brands or business units.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership; ability to align franchisees, operators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience managing external agencies, marketing teams, and vendor relationships simultaneously across multiple brands.
  • Familiarity with franchise legal and compliance requirements related to marketing materials and advertising fund governance.
Preferred
  • Experience in consumer franchise categories including wellness, beauty, pet care, or youth/family programming.
  • Background with franchise development marketing including FDD-related materials and franchise prospect campaigns.
  • Experience with grand opening playbooks and new unit launch campaigns at scale.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
Reporting amp; Structure
The SVP reports directly to the President/CEO and is a member of the senior leadership team. The SVP partners closely with the Chief Creative Officer — the SVP owns marketing strategy, brand positioning, and performance outcomes, while the CCO leads creative direction and brand aesthetics. The SVP leads a team of brand marketers, digital specialists, and franchise marketing coordinators, and manages relationships with external agencies and vendors.
