This role sits at the intersection of creative vision and commercial execution, responsible for driving synch revenue while positioning Kobalt as a best-in-class partner in the advertising space.

Reporting to the SVP, Global Creative Synch, the VP will serve as a strategic leader within the U.S. advertising market, owning key client relationships, clearing deals, and collaborating cross-functionally to maximize opportunities across Kobalt's global publishing catalogue.

  • Client & Writer Engagement:Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Kobalt clients, including songwriters, artists, and their representatives, positioning their music thoughtfully and competitively within the sync marketplace.
  • Team Leadership & Market Oversight: Lead and oversee the New York Creative Synch Team, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and performance management. Set clear revenue goals and expectations for direct reports to ensure alignment with department objectives.

What You'll Bring

  • 8 or more years of leadership experience in creative synch, advertising music supervision and a consistent record of driving revenue.
  • Advanced expertise in music copyright, publishing, master rights, and complex licensing structures.

  • Strong commercial instincts, executive presence, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset focused on revenue growth, market expansion, and continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability and composure in a fast-moving environment, with a reputation for delivering results.
