Job description

About Cramer

Cramer is a brand experience and content marketing agency with a talented and diverse team. Over the past forty years, we've built a culture and studio delivery model that has made us a trusted partner for global brands in technology, healthcare, and financial services.

Our work creates moments and memories that drive teams, cultures, and customers. We create events, brand cathedrals, immersive experiences, and marketing campaigns that move audiences to take action. Started over 40 years ago by a US Olympian, Cramer is an agency with a heart and passion for excellence - and proud to be recognized as one of The Boston Globe's Top Places to Work.

About You

Are you a creative visionary who thrives at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and engineering? Do you love the work as much as the win - someone who's equally at home concepting a big brand moment and rolling up your sleeves to get it right? Cramer is looking for a VP, Creative to lead high-impact brand experiences that captivate audiences and drive measurable results. Sound like you? Keep reading.

You'll work closely with our creative, strategy, account, production, and technology teams to push ideas from concept through execution - across experiential, live events, and integrated marketing campaigns. Your focus will be on events and experiential clients, but we want someone with the range to take big ideas further. Show us both in your portfolio.

What We Need

Creative Leadership & Vision

You set the creative standard. You push the work to be better, you know when something's not there yet, and you know how to bring a room along with you. This role comes in as an individual contributor with strong creative authority - and as you grow with us, there is a real opportunity to take on direct reports and expand your people management scope. You won't be leading the entire creative department, but building a team around your work is very much on the table.

Client-Facing Creative Partnership

You'll work closely with account directors and executive producers to make sure creative vision and brand strategy are fully aligned. You're a strong presenter who can sell ideas to senior clients with confidence and warmth - and who knows how to bring clients into the creative process rather than just presenting to them.

Innovation & Industry Awareness

You stay genuinely curious about where the industry is heading. Emerging technologies - generative AI, real-time production, volume stages, digital studio innovation - aren't buzzwords to you, they're tools you're actively thinking about and experimenting with. You bring that energy into the agency and into the work.

Business Development Support

You love a blue-sky brief. You'll be an active contributor to pitches and new business efforts - concepting ideas, shaping narratives, and helping the agency show up at its best when it counts.

Quality & Craft

You hold the bar high. You sweat the details because you know that's what separates good work from great work, and you bring that sensibility to every project you touch.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience in creative roles within experiential, events, or advertising, with at least a few years at the creative director level
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking, experiential design, and integrated storytelling
  • Proven ability to present and sell ideas to senior clients and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborative, low-ego working style - you make the work better and the people around you better
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Genuine curiosity about emerging technologies and their application in live and digital experiences

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Health Savings Account with employer contribution
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Profit Share Bonus Plan
  • Life Insurance
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
  • Family Leave
  • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Wellness Resources, including discounted Lifetime Fitness membership
  • Generous onsite cafe

Compensation Range: $150,000 - $225,000
