Construction Project Manager
Location: Seattle, WA
Compensation: $130,000 - $140,000 annually
Work Location: Hybrid, remote and on-site construction environments

Our SelectLeaders client is a mission-driven General Contractor focused on delivering more sustainable, efficient, and attainable housing. The company provides integrated development services across pre-development, feasibility, architectural design and permitting, prefabrication, general contracting, and sales support for multifamily projects. With a strong focus on sustainability, technology, and collaboration, the team is helping rethink how housing is designed and built while creating opportunities for its team to grow alongside the business.
They are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from pre-construction through completion. This role will have ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships while working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, Site Superintendents, and project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings strong multifamily or residential new construction experience, excellent project management skills, and an interest in innovative and sustainable building practices.
Responsibilities
Pre-Construction
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and procurement strategies
  • Manage competitive bidding processes and support contractor and subcontractor selection
  • Evaluate contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications, experience, pricing, and overall value
  • Manage project documentation including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders
  • Track project revisions and communicate changes to internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with Estimators and Project Engineers on project buyout and development of construction packages

Construction Management
  • Own project scope, schedule, and budget through successful project completion
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular reporting to the VP of Construction
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and project partners
  • Ensure projects meet established quality standards and complete required quality control inspections
  • Manage Built Green and Earth Advantage certification processes
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to Site Superintendents
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and Owner's Representatives
  • Lead communication and collaboration among Site Superintendents, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, field personnel, clients, and internal teams
  • Maintain accountability for site safety, organization, and cleanliness
  • Support the preparation and communication of claims for additional project costs when needed

Innovation & Sustainability
  • Stay current on emerging construction technologies, methodologies, and sustainable building practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, quality, and cost
  • Help implement new tools, technologies, and processes across projects
  • Participate in training, workshops, and industry events to continue developing technical expertise

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience managing new construction projects, preferably multifamily and/or residential
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant education in Construction Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management, and engineering principles
  • Experience developing and managing construction schedules using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software
  • Experience with cloud-based construction management platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize project information from multiple sources
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn new construction technologies and sustainable building practices
  • Strong understanding of residential construction health and safety practices
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Work Environment
This is a full-time, exempt position typically working Monday through Friday. The role requires regular travel to project sites, local jurisdiction offices, meetings, training, and industry events, with occasional work outside standard business hours based on project needs.
The position combines office, remote, and active construction-site environments. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing activities that may include standing, bending, kneeling, and moving materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
$130,000 - $140,000 a year
