Job description

Construction Project Manager

Phoenix, AZ | On-Site


A well-established general contractor based in Phoenix, AZ area, specializing in high-quality hotel, retail, and commercial projects, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join its team.


The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction projects ranging from $5M and $25M, including multi-level ground-up builds. This role is responsible for delivering projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


The ideal candidate has experience in hotel and commercial construction and brings strong leadership, scheduling, and budget management capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage all phases of construction projects, including initiation through closeout
  • Establish project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop and manage project schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Oversee procurement, including bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and vendor selection
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and safety regulations (Arizona preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans
  • Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organization, and prioritization.
  • Strong leadership, organization and communication skills
  • Experience with construction management software and project scheduling tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, LEED or similar certification
  • Experience with large-scale commercial or hospitality projects
  • Knowledge of risk management and cost control practices
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction methods
