Job description

OCRC Capacity Building & Sustainability AmeriCorps VISTA
Building on systems, partnerships, and infrastructure developed during the first two years of the VISTA project, the Year 3 VISTA will build Orcas Community Resource Center's capacity to reduce poverty among island residents by developing sustainable volunteer systems, evaluating program outcomes, strengthening grant tracking and resource development tools, and improving access to key services. The VISTA will create documentation, outreach resources, partnership tools, and evaluation systems that help staff and volunteers sustain poverty alleviation efforts beyond the VISTA term.
Member Duties : AmeriCorps members will build organizational capacity by developing sustainable systems, tools, and resources that strengthen long-term program effectiveness. Members will create and document volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recognition systems; develop community partnership and stakeholder engagement procedures; standardize evaluation and data tracking tools; and create outreach materials, communication strategies, and resource guides for staff use. Members will also develop grant tracking systems, implementation guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures that support consistent program delivery and future growth. These activities will increase organizational efficiency, improve access to services for underserved populations, strengthen community partnerships, and equip staff and volunteers with resources that can be sustained beyond the AmeriCorps service term.
