Overview:

A leading wastewater utility is seeking an Environmental Sustainability and Resilience Manager to spearhead sustainability initiatives and integrate resilience practices throughout the organization. This position will play a key role in advancing environmental responsibility, optimizing resource management, and preparing for climate-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development: Design and implement an organization-wide sustainability strategy.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish sustainability KPIs, create visual reports, and present progress on a quarterly basis.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on sustainability programs, environmental policies, and best practices.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across teams to embed sustainability principles into projects, operations, and policies.

  • Standards and Certifications: Develop internal benchmarks for achieving sustainability ratings, such as LEED and Envision.

  • Environmental Compliance: Oversee regulatory compliance related to stormwater, air quality, and greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Resilience Planning: Manage climate resilience studies, assess risks, and integrate findings into long-term planning.
