Job description

The Administrator in Training position is offered to prepare and train individuals for the position of Administrator. The A.I.T. is expected through guided learning experience, to achieve an acceptable level of competence and familiarity with the policies and procedures of PruittHealth to provide support to offices assigned after training is complete. 

Essential Skill/Knowledge Functions:

•    Observe and become familiar with all aspects of running a PruittHealth Healthcare Center location.

•    Complete each module of the A.I.T. program and receive a satisfactory evaluation for each module.

•    Maintain sound customer service principles.

•    Complete all assigned projects in a timely and professional manner.

•    Communicate on a daily basis with assigned preceptor.

•    Performs other administrative tasks and related duties as assigned by the Executive Director/Preceptor and/or assigned Regional Vice President.

Essential Administrative Functions:

•    Assist, if needed, in center/agency surveys (Licensure / JCAHO) and any subsequently required reports.

•    Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast of changes in your field as well as to maintain current license/certification, as required.

•    Attend and participate in mandatory in-services.

•    Honor patients/residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints.

•    Comply with corporate compliance program.

•    Report job-related functions/tasks that involve occupational hazards.

•    Follow established safety regulations, to include fire protection & prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.

•    Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.

•    Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.


Licensure/Certification/Education Requirements:

•    Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in a Healthcare field preferred.

Other Training, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

•    Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position. Satisfactory results of a criminal history check, Office of the Inspector General Sanction Check, and satisfactory licensure validations (as applicable). Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.   

Equipment Used: 

•    Computer, phone systems, copiers, fax machines and other various office equipment

Other Considerations and Requirements:

•    This is a sedentary position and partner is not required to do extensive physical exertion.  Partner is rarely required to do any lifting.  Partner typically able to sit, stand and walk, as needed.
