Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Project Manager

About Us

Since its inception in 1979 Overhead Fire Protection, Inc. has provided services within the fire sprinkler and alarm industry throughout Nevada and Northern California. We are a full-service company that designs, installs, repairs, services and inspects a variety of fire suppression systems. We are dedicated to providing complete customer satisfaction, competitive rates and personal attention to every single client. We are always available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am 3:30 pm

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and eager PM to join our team. This role does not require prior experience in project management; however, fire sprinkler or construction experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in being a quick learner, developing client relationships, being technically sound, savvy, and eager to learn first and foremost. Knowledgeable in bidding new construction projects, service or sprinkler systems is a bonus and can lead to additional compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile material and plan submittals for Contractors, Architects and AHJ, following up with permits, scheduling designs with designers
  • Reviewing install plans and stock lists before jobs begin, ordering and scheduling material deliveries, monitor orders to ensure deadline are met
  • Conduct site visits and manage projects as needed to determine client needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Perform system surveys as needs
  • Attending job coordination meetings, handling change orders, going on regular job site visits
  • Utilize PM software to track projects and stay on budget
  • Prepare and present proposals to clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients

Ideal Candidates:

  • General understanding of Construction and/or Fire Sprinkler project management
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and fire system plans
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure system needs and construction flows are met
  • Constant communication with the internal project teams
  • Eager and able to learn fire sprinkler systems
  • Proven track record of success in prior positions or endeavors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS365 and other PM tools
  • Work in an office environment from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am 3:30 pm
