In this role, you will support a variety of surveying and construction projects through field data collection, equipment operation, and technical support activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in outdoor environments while collaborating closely with survey crews, project managers, and engineering teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Field Survey Support
  • Assist survey crews with field data collection for construction, boundary, topographic, and infrastructure projects.
  • Operate survey equipment including GPS receivers, total stations, levels, and data collectors.
  • Support construction staking and layout activities as directed by project teams.
  • Ensure accurate and organized collection of survey data and field notes.
Equipment & Technical Support
  • Maintain and transport surveying equipment safely and properly.
  • Assist with setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of survey instruments.
  • Upload, organize, and process field data for project documentation and reporting.
Project Coordination & Communication
  • Work closely with surveyors, engineers, project managers, contractors, and field crews to support project needs.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, property owners, and team members while in the field.
  • Assist with project documentation, record keeping, and reporting as needed.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company safety procedures and field protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and job site hazards while working in active construction environments.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous experience in surveying, construction, engineering support, or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with survey equipment such as GPS units, total stations, and data collectors is a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and work on active construction sites.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or related software is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
