POSITION INFORMATION
As a Professional Surveyor, provide land surveying knowledge and required procedures to assist in the planning, implementation, correction, and quality review to complete assigned tasks. Able to perform and/or review such technical procedures and knowledge of topographic, boundary and route surveys and not limited to other survey functions as assigned. Provide and demonstrate the ability to train, supervise and critique others assigned tasks and provide mentorships to those that work with them.
Project Manager job function will be to work with current DGL management to help develop and support junior project managers, manage survey projects and expand the services currently provided by DGL. In an effort to maintain DGL’s valuable reputation, your responsibilities will also include design review, plan review and QA/QC on DGL’s deliverables to clients and helping with the expansion of services provided to DGL’s current customers and attract new customers consistent with DGL’s growth objectives.

• Reports to Survey Manager & Director of Technical Services
• Full-time, Exempt
• 10 years of previous experience in surveying
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform QA/QC review on office and field survey work including boundary/right of way surveys, topographic survey work, right of way plan work, etc.
• Assist in the department operations, while ensuring overall client satisfaction and project profitability.
• Assist in the Development/Implementation/Training/Mentoring of the survey staff.
• Project Management including proposals, budgets, safety, schedule, quality control, invoicing, and project delivery.
SKILL SET
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation (current DOT L&D CAD tools) and ability to use AutoCAD as a secondary CAD drafting skill
• Familiarity with Trimble Business Center
• Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy, organization and within established deadlines
• Ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively on various sized projects
• Ability to work and balance priorities among multiple projects
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, stakeholders and the general public
• Exceptional ability to communicate effectively; speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Outgoing, self-motivated team player
• Proven success in delivering high quality project submittals
• Out of town projects and overtime hours may also be requested dependent on project workloads and submittal deadlines
• Valid Driver’s License required with a favorable driving record
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university in land surveying, engineering, geomatics, or engineering technology
• Professional Surveyor (PS) Registration in good standing of the State where assigned office resides
