Performs the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room. Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Who We Are:
The CVOR is a Level 1 STEMI and Trauma Center, providing surgical care to adult patients. We have 6 Operating Rooms (including one hybrid OR and 1 peripheral vascular lab) with 2 specialty teams, Vascular Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery.We perform open, minimally invasive and robotic cardiothoracic surgeries and perform a wide variety of vascular surgeries and interventions. Our training for nurses includes orientation to both the circulating and scrub roles at Mercy.We're a Little Different

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education: HS Diploma or GED. Non-certified applicants may be considered for this position with acceptable surgical technology experience.
Required Experience: Must have at least one year of Surgical Tech experience
Preferred Education: Surgical Technology experience or Graduate with a Degree in Surgical Technology or completion certification from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association
