About this role
As a Surgical Technician at Emplify Health by Gundersen Hillsboro, you will be an essential member of the surgical team, helping ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for every patient. In this role, you will support surgeons, nurses, and other team members in a collaborative environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and patient safety are at the center of everything we do. Your work will help bring empathy amplified to life for patients in our rural community.
Key responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room and sterile field for surgical procedures
  • Pass instruments, equipment, and supplies accurately and efficiently during procedures
  • Maintain aseptic technique and support patient safety throughout the surgical case
  • Assist with room turnover, restocking, specimen handling, and preparation for upcoming procedures
  • Support circulating duties, precept new staff, and contribute to smooth department operations
