Job description
The Medical College of Wisconsin is pleased to announce our search for a full-time Cardiac Robotic Surgeon faculty member in the Department of Surgery and the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required. Applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree and be Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Surgery. Academic Rank and compensation are dependent on qualifications and experience.
Position Highlights:
- Develop and lead a robotic-assisted minimally invasive cardiac surgery program.
- Perform advanced cardiac procedures, including robotic CABG and mitral valve repair.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate robotic approaches into surgical practice.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows and colleagues interested.
- Participate in clinical research and program development advancing minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
The ideal candidate will join a division comprised of the following:
- 10 adult cardiac surgeons
- 3 thoracic surgeons
- 20 advanced practice providers
- 14 perfusionists who are supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, anesthesiologists, cardiac intensivists, perfusionists, and APP's.
- The MCS/ECMO service is staffed with 24/7 in-house coverage utilizing both ECMO specialists and perfusionists.
- This faculty position offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-established, multidisciplinary shock and MCS program at a tertiary care academic medical center.

- Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin
- Formal training or clinical experience with robotic cardiac surgery is required.
