THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND
The orderly provides routine housekeeping and environmental sanitation in our Surgi-centers. You will also assist with inventory control, materials management, and the transportation of patients.
OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU

  • Must be comfortable providing the highest level of care to our patients
  • Must maintain knowledge of infection control and basic sterile technique
  • Must have an understanding of proving patient care
  • Must be comfortable in a fast paced, pressured environment
  • Must be flexible and able to work multiple shifts
  • Dispose of waste in appropriate receptacles and report general repair issues to building manager
  • Maintain the supply of linens and empty hampers as needed
  • Setup anD break down OR’s as necessary
  • Collaborate with the circulating nurses to assist with patient flow
  • Take patients from pre-op to OR, and to post-op, and attach appropriate apparatuses
  • Report patient observations to the nurses
  • Exercise basic knowledge of patient body mechanics during positioning
  • Assist in the setup of the OR (switching foot pedals, setting up the scope, etc…)
  • Transport patients to their cars via wheelchair during discharge


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • BCLS preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • Prior hospital or surgi-center experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You’re a team player who works well with a team and independently
