Job description

Renown Health and University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) are recruiting a Board Eligible/Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join our new Orthopedic division within the Department of Surgery.
The ideal candidate must have completed a 5 year Orthopedic Surgery Residency and be Board Eligible/Board Certified from the ABOS or AOBOS -specialists to have completed a 1+ year Fellowship in a subspecialty. The Orthopedic Surgeon will have the support of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeons and Surgical Oncology Orthopedic Surgeon. The new adult Orthopedic Division will provide specific orthopedic care to adult patients treating ages 18 - geriatric. Prioritizing big joint and arthroscopic surgery.
The surgeon should have a passion for teaching and mentoring residents and students in a collaborative, academic, and patient-centered environment. This position also provides opportunities for involvement in research and quality improvement initiatives.
