Medical Group of the Carolinas - Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery is seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a highly successful, well-established practice and exceptional multidisciplinary heart team. This is a premier opportunity to join a program recognized for clinical excellence, innovation, and growth The ideal candidate will have broad experience in open heart and thoracic surgery and thrive in a collaborative, high-volume environment
Practice Highlights
  • Robust APP support with 1 NP in clinic and 24/7 CVRU coverage
  • 5 PAs assisting in the OR
  • 1:4 call rotation; one weekend per month
  • NP/PAs take first call for ED, floor and clinic
  • Clinic one day per week; 20+ patients per day
Program Excellence
SRHS is one of the busiest heart centers in South Carolina. The program performs 400+ cardiac and 300+ thoracic surgeries annually.
Facilities & Advanced Services
  • 3 CV ORs
  • Structural Heart Program including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, PFO closure, and Convergent procedures
  • All surgeries performed at Spartanburg Medical Center - Church Street campus
