Job description

This RN Manager of Surgery role is based in Portsmouth, NH at a 240-bed acute care hospital that serves communities across New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. The facility holds ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center designations and operates a robust heart and vascular program. It is the only hospital in the area to carry both of these distinctions simultaneously.

The Manager plays a hands-on role in workforce management — interviewing and hiring personnel, conducting annual performance evaluations, implementing learning plans, and leading disciplinary processes when necessary. The position also supports the Surgical Services Director with unit budget oversight and partners with an educator on competency development. Collaboration with staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to maintain a safe, high-quality care environment is central to this role.
What we're looking for.

• Active New Hampshire RN license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Schedule. Full-time, day shift with no weekend requirements.
