 Position purpose

The Product Designer will establish design patterns and principles that scale across ikeGPS's current and expanding product portfolio, influencing how thousands of utility professionals interact with critical infrastructure data daily. Over time, these design system patterns may extend to influence other products in the ikeGPS portfolio, including established desktop applications.

This role requires a unique combination of skills: deep expertise in geospatial and 3D interfaces, mastery of modern design tools including AI-powered workflows, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where designs directly influence product-market fit for a transformational platform.

Position location

Broomfield, Colorado, USA with Hybrid work Schedule per company policy; Remote may be considered for exceptional candidates.

User Experience Design

  • Design the complete user experience for new, cloud-native customer-facing applications serving utilities, communications companies, and engineering firms
  • Create intuitive workflows that enable users to leverage robust utility asset data, structural analysis, AI insights, and predictive analytics
  • Transform complex capabilities (physics-based simulations, computer vision outputs, automated recommendations) into accessible, understandable interfaces
  • Expand design scope over time to include data acquisition workflow interfaces, analytics/visualization dashboards, and administrative/configuration interfaces

Outcomes: Platform delivers an intuitive, elegant user experience that makes complex infrastructure intelligence accessible to utility professionals. Users can effectively leverage AI-powered insights and multi-source data through workflows that feel natural and efficient. Geospatial & 3D Interface Expertise

  • Design sophisticated map-based interfaces for infrastructure visualization and analysis
  • Create 3D viewing experiences for utility poles, overhead assets, and related infrastructure

Rapid Prototyping & Validation

  • Create low/mid/high-fidelity prototypes appropriate to product development stage

  • Implement and champion AI-assisted design tools across design processes
