To thrive as a Supply Chain professional, you need strong analytical skills, knowledge of logistics and inventory management, and typically a degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, supply chain management software, and relevant certifications like APICS CPIM or CSCP are highly valued. What is a supply chain?

A supply chain is a network of organizations, people, activities, information, and resources involved in producing and delivering a product or service from the supplier to the end customer. It encompasses everything from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Effective supply chain management ensures products are produced and delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and reliably, minimizing delays and optimizing inventory.
