  • Manage all supplier deliverables for company new product introductions per requirements of the defined stage-gate process (HIP).
  • Drive Bill of Materials (BOM) cost estimation, monitor cost roll-ups, and execute strategies to ensure product launches meet or exceed margin targets.
  • Lead prototype sourcing and quick-turn tooling strategies by identifying and developing key suppliers to accelerate design validation and time-to-market for new products.
  • Identify, evaluate, and successfully onboard new suppliers capable of meeting technical specifications, quality standards, financial health, and capacity requirements for new products that enable Horton’s fast-paced growth.
  • Coordinate material availability, tooling completion, and capacity planning to guarantee a seamless transition from pilot builds to full-scale volume production.
  • Integrate proactive supply chain risk management into all stages of the NPD process, evaluating sourcing vulnerabilities, material lead times, and supplier readiness to safeguard time-to-market and ramp-up execution.
  • Conduct data-driven make-vs-buy analyses with Advanced Manufacturing to optimize plant capacity and maximize cost efficiency.

Supporting Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end cost-reduction initiatives by combining high-complexity spend analysis, VA/VE, and strategic supplier negotiations to achieve sustainable bottom-line TCO savings.
  • Direct company-wide Should-Cost modeling/benchmarking initiatives, leveraging AI-driven analytics and advanced cost tools to validate supplier pricing, establish market transparency, and prevent cost inflation.
  • Establish, maintain, and govern global supplier standards and technical specifications across key manufacturing processes, including custom tooling and precision molding.
  • Oversee end-to-end supplier development activities, establish operational benchmarks, driving performance reviews, and executing process improvement plans across critical suppliers.
  • Standardize and execute cross-location material planning to optimize shared commodity supply, drive process consistency, and ensure seamless material transitions during plant product line transfers.

Supply Chain Program Manager Qualifications:

Base requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proven track record of leading New Product Introduction (NPI) and product development sourcing from early-stage concept through commercialization.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex, fast-turn projects in a rapidly growing, dynamic business environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise conducting supplier technical audits, onboarding, performance scorecards (PPM, OTD), and managing Root Cause Corrective Action (CAPA) plans.
  • Strong history of managing high-value spend categories and driving large-scale, multi-project cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship available for this role.

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience within a manufacturing plant environment, actively participating in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory optimization, and material flow improvements.
  • Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced analytics or AI-driven costing tools.
