Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Associate Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist OR Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.

  • 1st shift, 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off!

  • Position is in-office, unable to accommodate a telecommute/hybrid schedule.

Responsible for the successful scheduling, production control and manufacture of products; adding value through moving, separating, forming, machining and chemical processes. Ensures manufacture of stock products to fulfill customer requirements. Ensures manufacture of custom-engineered products that are designed, developed and manufactured in response to a specific customer request or contract. Manages, develops or carries-out production rules, production performance, information, materials, equipment and facilities, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions:

-Provide status and visibility on AMC schedule performance to internal customers, Manufacturing leadership, Program Integrated Process Team leadership, and GM Internal Suppliers leadership.

-Break shop floor constraints impacting schedule performance (beyond the reach of the Production Controller) by coordinating with other AMC support teams such as Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, etc...

-Coordinate and communicate overtime requirements with all support organizations and Manufacturing.

-Utilizing an understanding of program schedule requirements, establish shop priorities and communicate them to AMC Production Control teammates for coordination with Production supervisors.

-Coordinate with in-house MAKE Integration team on schedule delays/part shortages to provide ECD's for AMC parts.

-Create and disseminate of status reports including but not limited to: Lines of Balance(LOB), Inch Stones, Inch Stone LOB's, WIP Dashboards, Priority Reports, and Multi Level LOB's

-Interact with shop floor personnel to ensure product is located in its' correct work center and/or physically move said product.

-Provide feedback to Buy Integration on buy part shortages causing impacts to AMC production operations.

-Perform SAP/MES reconciliation on parts and requirements to ensure proper alignment to master schedule.

-Perform requirement analyses to identify necessary ICMT's to mitigate schedule impacts.

-Facilitate and lead meetings to drive constraint resolution.

-Manage all aspects of El Segundo Offsite Processing from Womb-to-Tomb

-Work with Procurement on reconciling PO issues and perform SAP Goods Receipt

-Serve as the Make Integrator for El Segundo's 907 Processing Line and AMC Paint Shop

Associate Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist Basic Qualifications Level 1:

  • Bachelor's degree, or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years related experience in supply chain, logistics, or another relevant field.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Excel and Power Point.

  • Experience with SAP and/or similar ERP systems

  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S Government Secret Clearance and a Program Special Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need (after starting).

Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist Basic Qualifications Level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience must be in supply chain, logistics, or another relevant field, or High School Diploma/GED with 6 years related experience in supply chain, logistics, or another relevant field.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Excel and Power Point.

  • Experience with SAP and/or similar ERP systems

  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S Government Secret Clearance and a Program Special Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need (after starting).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes strongly preferred

  • Experience in SAP (MES) (or related)

  • Materials management experience

  • Active U.S Government Secret Clearance

  • Experience working in a fast pace environment

  • Knowledge of integrated master schedules

  • Production control experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $63,000.00 - $94,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
