Northrop Grumman is seeking a dynamic, energetic individual for the position of Supply Chain Planning Specialist Level 4 to join our growing team of diverse professionals in the IBCS International Business Area. This individual will serve as the Supply Chain Planning Specialist Lead and will support tactical and strategic Supply Chain activities.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develops supply chain strategy and leads activities for GSC in all phases of the Northrop Grumman's program and proposal execution.
  • Manages the GSC scope for multifaceted program(s), and proposals through close-out. Coordinates interdepartmental activity, directs communication, coordinates with suppliers, and integrates efforts across all GSC functions.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally (with all program functions) to ensure supply chain commitments are met and that appropriate integrated mitigation or opportunity plans are developed and executed.
  • Leads supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolution.
  • Aligns project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community.
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program management.
  • Briefs the GSCPM on the status and issues affecting program performance: material indicated final, risks and opportunities, and schedule.
  • Will be involved in special projects and continuous improvement activities
  • Analyze and collect data on current awards and awards in pipeline to identify and capitalize on synergies at the operating and business unit
  • Evaluate suppliers, addressing supplier capacity and/or production issues, and noting key performance indicators
  • Achieve material sales goals (Inventory Receipts)
  • Support on-time delivery performance of suppliers within programs of responsibility (Supplier OTD >95%)
  • Insert strategic supply chain tools at proposal stage to streamline execution at program award and capitalize on existing supplier relationships and supplier health
  • Provide data on current supplier engagement, gaps, penetration, and evaluate risks
  • Coordinate and prepare program material financial forecasting and reporting, the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 6 years of related professional experience.
  • Working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Cost Account Management monthly reporting
  • Proficiency with SAP or Similar Material Resource Planning tool
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint (i.e. working with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting)
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Certifications in Earned Value Management or Project Management a plus
  • Experience in the following disciplines include and are not limited to Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Purchasing, Subcontracting, Supply Chain Management and Production
  • Active government Secret Security clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
