Job Overview

Barupon is seeking an exceptional Director of Wholesale Pharmacy Operations & Strategic Supply Partnerships to lead and scale our wholesale pharmaceutical operations. This role will be responsible for building and managing high-value relationships with pharmacies, manufacturers, and distributors, while ensuring a reliable, compliant, and profitable drug supply chain.

This leader will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, improving drug sourcing strategies, expanding pharmacy partnerships, and optimizing wholesale margins as Barupon continues to expand its retail and online pharmacy footprint.

The ideal candidate has deep pharmaceutical wholesale expertise, an extensive pharmacy network, and strong manufacturer relationships that can immediately strengthen Barupon's supply chain and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Wholesale Strategy & Growth

  • Lead and scale Barupon's wholesale pharmaceutical operations.

  • Identify high-margin drug sourcing opportunities to maximize profitability.

  • Develop wholesale distribution strategies that support both retail and online pharmacy growth.

Pharmacy & Manufacturer Partnerships

  • Leverage existing relationships with pharmacies, manufacturers, and pharmaceutical distributors to strengthen Barupon's supply network.

  • Establish strategic partnerships with drug manufacturers, wholesalers, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs).

  • Negotiate favorable pricing and supply agreements to improve margins.

Supply Chain Optimization

  • Ensure consistent and compliant sourcing of pharmaceuticals across the supply chain.

  • Improve inventory management and drug procurement processes.

  • Reduce procurement costs while maintaining reliable supply.

Operational Leadership

  • Build and manage wholesale operations teams.

  • Establish scalable systems for drug sourcing, purchasing, and distribution.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align wholesale strategy with company growth goals.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with pharmacy regulations, DEA guidelines, and pharmaceutical distribution standards.

  • Maintain proper licensing and regulatory oversight across operations.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical wholesale, pharmacy supply chain, or drug distribution

  • Proven success building and maintaining strong relationships with pharmacies, manufacturers, and pharmaceutical distributors

  • Demonstrated ability to secure reliable drug supply and negotiate competitive pricing

  • Experience managing pharmaceutical procurement, sourcing, and inventory strategies

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, drug distribution channels, and supply chain logistics

  • Experience working with GPOs, wholesalers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers

  • Proven track record of increasing pharmacy sales or wholesale distribution revenue
