Due to an upcoming retirement, our client is seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor to ensure a smooth transition with the current incumbent.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a team of approximately six Expeditors (Purchasing Expeditors).
In this role, you will oversee supplier order follow-up activities, manage daily priorities, and support your team in achieving operational performance objectives. As a hands-on leader, you will remain actively involved in day-to-day operations whenever needed to support the team.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of approximately six Expeditors.
Organize daily priorities and effectively allocate workload across the team.
Oversee supplier purchase orders from placement through delivery.
Ensure on-time deliveries and proactively resolve delays or supply issues.
Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Monitor, analyze, and report on operational KPIs.
Prepare Excel reports on supplier delays, delivery performance, and other operational metrics.
Manage employee timecards, vacation schedules, and attendance.
Train, mentor, and develop team members.
Participate in day-to-day operational activities when required to support the team.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain a high level of customer service.

Your profile

Previous experience supervising or managing a team.
Experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain, expediting, or supplier order management.
Strong people leadership skills with a hands-on management style.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Intermediate Excel skills, including reporting and KPI tracking.
Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken.
