The Specialist, Rail Operations sits on the logistics team and plays a crucial role in assisting in the management of Primient's railcar fleet, ensuring seamless operations through the daily monitoring of maintenance statuses of cars in shop and ensuring capital and regulatory scopes of work are completed on time. Responsibilities Coordinate railcar repairs: Monitor and manage railcars out of service for maintenance, ensuring swift coordination with repair locations to minimize downtime and uphold fleet reliability. Coordinate and schedule capital and regulatory maintenance: Work with respective fleet specialist, shop, and Alltranstek to ensure capital projects and regulatory tank car repairs are scheduled through shop without impacting fleet operations. Procure railcar parts: Coordinate the timely procurement of railcar parts for plants and contracted maintenance teams, ensuring an uninterrupted supply to support ongoing operations and repairs. Manage Alltranstek/RAS Data Services invoice: Validate and process monthly invoices from RAS Data Services, ensuring timely payments and adherence to service agreements. Analyze rail fleet data: Analyze rail fleet data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction or improvement. Monthly cost reporting: Prepare and distribute the Monthly Cost Report for the rail fleet, providing financial transparency and supporting budget management with detailed expense analysis. Qualifications Education: Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (required). Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (preferred). Experience: 1+ year experience in manufacturing (preferred). Experience using data analysis tools such as Excel (required). Experience using Systems Applications and Products (SAP) systems and rail tracing systems such as RailTrac (preferred). Pay & Benefits The annual pay range for this position is $59,628.80 – $74,536.00, bonus eligible.
