This Individual will serve as the Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) for the Assigned Commodity. This individual will own the supplier relationships for the assigned supplier group within the specific commodity category under the leadership of the Sr. Metals Commodity Manager. This individual will support the Metals Commodity strategy formulation and execution.

This position is part of the Integrated Supply Chain Organization and may be performed remotely from a home office within New York State, with regular access to the Cortland, NY site as business needs require. Candidates should reside within reasonable driving distance of Cortland, including the Syracuse, Ithaca, Binghamton, Rochester, Utica, and Auburn areas.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Supplier Relationship Management (40%): identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, attend supplier meetings/visits, maintain strong relationships with key suppliers via SBR's, collaborate with the cross-functional teams (including engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality), LTA's/MSA's negotiate and manage contract administration, improve Supplier OTD, and support site Inventory Target management.

  • Commodity/ Category Management (30%): Project funnel ideation and execution, own Strategic Sourcing visual management (DVM), stay updated on emerging technologies/materials/best practices in Metals commodities and supply chain management, monitor market trends & industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation/cost savings/risk mitigation, partner with Supplier Quality to execute supplier qualifications (FAIR, PPAP, etc.), optimize Supply Chain design to maximize adherence to DMS principles and IMAG

  • Customer (Internal & External) Relationship Management (15%): collaborate with Ops, R&D, Engineering, Quality, Sales, Product Management, support external customers as necessary, and drive OTD

  • Location Strategy Execution (15%): Delivery of the Metals Commodity Strategy

  • Domestic/International travel will be required.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred, with 3+ years of experience; OR no degree with 5+ years of experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supplier Relationship Management.

  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts, reducing costs, and improving supplier performance.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% including some limited international travel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • 2+ years demonstrated focus on Metals commodities and strong knowledge of the Metals market, including materials, processes, pricing dynamics, and supplier landscape.

  • Building, maintaining, and fostering relationships with suppliers.

  • Ability to adapt, think critically, and problem-solve under pressure

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.


This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if needed, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

The annual salary range for this role is $90k-$115k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
