Job description

Position: E&I Supervisor
Location: Quincy, MA
Type: Full-time | Onsite
Overview
This role is responsible for supervising E&I technicians and contractors, coordinating maintenance schedules, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting safe, efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate has strong industrial electrical and instrumentation experience with proven leadership in maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
  • Support troubleshooting and reliability of electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, analysers, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, DCS, and industrial control systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, and environmental standards.
  • Monitor maintenance performance, work orders, backlog, labor utilization, and spare parts planning.
  • Lead employee coaching, training, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent industrial experience).
  • 5+ years of industrial Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance experience in chemical, refinery, food processing, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or maintenance leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, process instrumentation, analyzers, motor controls, VFDs, control valves, PLCs, DCS, and industrial control systems.
  • Experience with CMMS/SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including LOTO, confined space entry, electrical safety, and contractor safety management.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and contractor management.
  • Experience supporting industrial network infrastructure.
  • Massachusetts Electrical License.
  • Experience in reliability improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with occasional travel for training.
