Superior Metal Technologies is a full-service aluminum metal finishing company, specializing in high-performance architectural coatings, including polyvinylidene fluoride PVDF (Kynar 500), eco-friendly acid etch anodize and caustic etch anodize . We've been an aluminum metal finishing leader since 1936. Our years of customer commitment and dedication coupled with industry knowledge have allowed us to become the finisher of choice for a wide range of industries across the country.


We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated individual with a strong focus on manufacturing and production to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of materials within our facility, ensuring accuracy in inventory levels, and maintaining a high standard of safety and organization. This role is critical in supporting our production operations and will require a proactive approach to problem-solving and effective communication skills.

Requirements:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our manufacturing team. As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks in the production line to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.


We have all 3 shifts available:

  • 1st shift - Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm (Hourly Rate)
  • 2nd shift - Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm (Hourly Rate +$0.50)
  • 3rd shift - Sunday to Thursday 10pm to 6am (Hourly Rate +$0.75)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety rules
  • Filling out production sheets and packing tickets
  • Reading & understanding work orders
  • Color & Coating checks
  • Operation of hand tools (drill, hammer, air mailer, saws, etc.)
  • Counting of product
  • Creating or making bundles, crates, or skids
  • Identification of defects
  • Identification of proper packing method of product (i.e. S-interleave, layer, cardboard, foam, or any othr type)
  • Prepare materials and equipment needed for production
  • Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards and specifications
  • Package and label finished products according to company and customer requirements
  • Load and unload materials in and out of the production area using forklifts or other industrial equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on production machinery to ensure optimal functionality
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on production procedures and safety guidelines
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the production area and report any potential hazards or accidents.

Experience & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven work experience as a Production Worker or in a similar role
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to operate and inspect machinery and metal pieces
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10 to 50lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100lbs to position metal objects to begin and finish treatment processes and/or prepare for shipping
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to position self to move metal objects for treatment or packing
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining production machinery
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and follow instructions
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus. Must be able to detect slight differences in various finishes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Candidates must be 18 years or older, and willing and able to pass a drug and alcohol test at any given time.
