Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma Neuro ICU position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Indianapolis, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience and working nights on a 13-week contract.

Details
  • 24-bed Trauma Neuro ICU treating critically ill trauma, neuro, and surgical patients
  • Trauma cases include blunt force and penetrating injuries such as abdominal, maxillofacial, orthopedic, and thoracic trauma
  • Neuro cases include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, aneurysms, brain tumors, seizures, and traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries
  • Surgical cases include complex spine and abdominal surgeries, head and neck procedures, and specialty OB/GYN
  • Advanced procedures include hemodynamic monitoring, massive transfusion, ICP monitoring, brain tissue oxygenation, ventricular drains, and continuous dialysis
  • Patient ratio of 2:1
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday and hard-to-fill shift coverage required
  • EMR: Sunrise (SCM)
Requirements
  • Active IN or Compact RN license required
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
  • Driver's license copy required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for consideration

  • Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center of Excellence, and Transplant Center
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate
  • COVID vaccination is not required
