• Conduct thorough assessments and initial evaluations to understand patient needs, establishing a strong foundation for building tailored treatment plans.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique challenges, progress, and therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions with trauma injury patients, utilizing evidence-based techniques to support emotional healing and improvement in mental health.
• Educate patients and their families on coping strategies and resources to navigate the complexities of trauma, fostering resilience and independence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social services and medical professionals, ensuring comprehensive care and support for patients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and treatment modifications, utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and maintain National Certified Counselor certification, ensuring adherence to the latest industry practices.

This position emphasizes working specifically with trauma injury patients, who may face a variety of mental health challenges stemming from their experiences. The counselor will play a crucial role in aiding these individuals in overcoming emotional obstacles and developing effective coping strategies that foster personal growth and resilience.

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• Active and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience working directly with trauma patients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce and EMR systems is highly desirable.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect with a diverse patient population.

Candidates with previous experience in trauma-informed care or those who have successfully navigated multidisciplinary collaboration in mental health settings will be prioritized. Knowledge of contemporary therapeutic modalities and healthcare technologies is highly advantageous.
