Job description
Forklift Operator
The Forklift Operator is responsible for assembling customer orders and loading completed orders onto delivery trucks.
Key Activities:
- Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
- Accurately and efficiently assemble customer orders for delivery or pick-up.
- Completes any necessary paperwork associated with incoming/outgoing materials.
- Load and unload materials to and from delivery trucks.
- Process, document, and stock incoming materials from vendors, etc.
- Provide exceptional customer service and team support.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, identifying and addressing potential safety concerns.
- Operate forklift and other equipment according to specification and in alignment with designated safety standards.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Able to safely operate a forklift and other equipment.
- Strong process/procedure orientation.
- Effective written and verbal communication/comprehension skills.
- Strong team and customer service skills.
- Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
- Demonstrates initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
- Safety conscious.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Forklift experience (certification provided through Sunpro).
- Track record of safety-conscious performance.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 50 lbs of force regularly.
- Repetitive motion associated with operating a forklift and other equipment, including climbing on and off the forklift.
- Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
- Outdoor working conditions, sometimes in extreme climates.
