JOB TITLE:  Garage Door Installer 

JOB LOCATION:  Pleasant View, UT

                                                                                          

FUNCTION:  Effectively install and service garage doors and garage door openers in accordance with customer needs and organizational priorities.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
  • Install garage doors and garage door openers at job sites.
  • Perform service and repairs on garage doors and door openers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Load and unload supplies and materials.
  • Effectively communicate job status and key issues to Manager.
  • Perform routine pre- and post- inspections to ensure suitable working nature of equipment and vehicles. Maintain necessary equipment logs and inform supervisor of deficiencies.
  • Prioritize work activity according to business need and as directed by supervisor.
  • Assist with installation of insulation when the workload dictates the need.
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Adhere to company safety standards and procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
  • Able to perform accurate measurement and basic calculations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Safety conscious.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Clean MVR required.
  • Experienced residential/commercial installers preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 50 lbs of force regularly.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating equipment, unloading materials, and assorted manual/power tools.
  • Regular exposure to the elements.
  • Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
