Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Blood Component Processing Support
Receive blood products collected through manual and automated methods
Assist in preparing, labeling, and storing blood components under supervision
Prepare products for distribution in accordance with established procedures
Ensure proper storage and handling of all blood components

Quality and Compliance Support
Follow all quality control procedures and documentation requirements
Identify and report discrepancies or concerns to leadership
Assist with routine quality control and equipment maintenance activities as directed

Inventory and Supply Support
Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining supplies and materials
Monitor inventory levels and report needs to leadership
Support proper handling and storage of supplies and products

Laboratory Environment and Safety
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all safety, infection control, and environmental protocols
Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)

Training and Development
Participate in onboarding, training, and competency development
Develop proficiency in component manufacturing processes over time

Additional Responsibilities
Participate in meetings and training activities
Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational success

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
