About Summit Construction Group
Summit Construction Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead commercial healthcare construction projects from pre-construction through final completion. This role is responsible for overseeing project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and client communication while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, pre-construction activities, and kickoff meetings with internal teams, owners, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure project profitability.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout processes, contract negotiations, and scope alignment.
  • Manage all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications, plan revisions, and project correspondence.
  • Prepare and submit monthly owner pay applications while monitoring project cash flow and financial performance.
  • Identify potential project risks and proactively implement solutions to minimize schedule, budget, and operational impacts.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Partner closely with Superintendents to coordinate long-range project planning and daily field operations.
  • Manage change orders, purchase orders, invoices, and contract administration for owners, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Provide regular project status updates and maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure successful project closeout, including punch-list completion, commissioning coordination, warranty documentation, and final turnover to the client.
  • Maintain compliance with company standards, contract requirements, safety regulations, and healthcare construction best practices.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction.
  • Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and project financial management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.
