Job description

We are looking for energetic, responsible, and positive individuals to join our Summer Day Camp team! Camp Counselors help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children throughout the summer. This position is ideal for high school and college students who enjoy working with kids, being active, and spending time indoors and outside. This is a seasonal position for summer employment.


Position Summary:

Summer Day Camp Counselors supervise and interact with campers throughout daily activities, games, and field trips. Counselors help lead activities, encourage participation, and ensure campers have a safe and memorable camp experience.


Key Responsibilities:

Supervise campers in both small and large group settings

Lead and participate in games, activities, and creative play

Help plan and organize daily activities for campers

Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment

Assist with field trips, including walking trips around the community and off-site trips (such as parks or zoos)

Supervise campers during bus transportation and off-site activities

Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behavior

Communicate with fellow staff and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations

Serve as a positive role model for campers


Preferred Qualifications:

High school student (age 14+) or college student

Enjoys working with children

Responsible, dependable, and enthusiastic

Comfortable leading games and activities

Ability to work well with a team

CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
