Job description

The Summer Camp Counselor at Ladybird Montessori School serves campers aged 12-16 on a 14 acre, nature-based Montessori campus. We are looking for a high-energy, organized, and engaging candidate who will provide a safe and exciting camp environment. This role assists with activities, student supervision, and makerspace projects. This position will require strong skills in classroom management of adolescents. 
Responsibilities

  • Supervise children at all times to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Help prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials and spaces
  • Lead daily camp activities and projects
  • Assist with arrival, dismissal, and transitions
  • Prepare and clean up classrooms and activity areas
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe indoor and outdoor environments
  • Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and licensing requirements
  • Actively monitor children and respond quickly to safety needs or concerns
  • Report incidents or concerns promptly to supervising staff
  • Support attendance tracking and general classroom operations
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Collaborate with team members and support Lead staff as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
