Job description

The ideal candidate will cultivate Teen Programs to increase engagement through volunteerism, partnerships and philanthropy.
Job Description
Interpret, communicate, and promote Y mission, goals, and objectives to department employees, volunteer leaders, members, and the community.
Develop and implement high quality teen programs and events, with a focus on Leaders' Club, Y Achievers, Summer Teen Programming, and the overall Teen Experience.
Ensure program fidelity through adherence to YUSA and association standards.
Support data collection efforts by keeping accurate records, and completing reports, surveys, and other requests in a timely manner.
Build rapport with program participants, families, and staff to enhance programs and services. Facilitate and maintain positive communication with all stakeholders.
Engage and participate in YUSA Teen related programs and experiences and encourage teen program participants to participate as well.
Establish and enforce emergency procedures appropriate to the site and in conformity with procedures adopted by emergency service authorities, including CPR/Aid, Emergency Response, OSHA and facility safety standards. Communicate plan to all on-site management and program participants.
Develop and manage budget, including timely and accurate forecasting and analysis.
May supervise part-time staff and/or volunteers, to including hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring, evaluating, and providing feedback.
Qualifications
The Director should be enthusiastic, able to create high quality programs, and committed to the YMCA mission. A minimum of two years of experience with youth/teen programs is required. A high school degree or equivalent is required with a bachelor's degree desirable. Relationship-building abilities are essential, including the ability to connect and build trust with youth and teens, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to set priorities and manage multiple concurrent tasks essential. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are necessary, as well as previous budgeting experience and computer proficiency. The ability to plan, develop, organize, manage, prioritize, and administer tasks is essential.
