Position Description: Come Grow With Us!Join our Team!Presbyterian Village North is immediately hiring Servers for their Summer Student Program!The shift is PRN (as needed) for Days, Weekends and Evenings.Pay: $16.00/hour16 - 20 hours per 2 week pay period required.Earn money during your school break! Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Provide food and beverage service in dining roomServe residents and guests in A la Carte, full-service atmosphere with attention to detail and hospitalityModels a service and solutions-oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things betterFriendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workersEnsure resident/patient, visitor, self and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazardsMaintain good attendance record; arrive to work timely and conform to scheduled work hoursWear appropriate and assigned protective gear, i.e. apron, hair net, etc.Ability to follow opening and closing procedures including workstationsClean and/or pull dishes from dish room to dining areaComplete daily cleaning according to schedule or Supervisor’s instructionsAssists with any special events as assignedReset tables to specifications with clean pressed linenFold and sort silverware and napkins for dining roomSet-up hot buffet/salad bar/desserts/beverages/service side stations and take temperatures of food before service, clean appropriately at the end of serviceAssumes other responsibilities as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Current High School or College students6 months - 1 year in A la Carte & Food Service Industry experience preferred, not requiredExperience in customer service preferred, not requiredFood Handlers certification will be required before startingAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in EnglishAbility to be patient and gracious with residentsAbility to work Saturdays and Sundays
