Responsibilities

Therapists are responsible for the application of current knowledge, theory, evidence and sound clinical judgment in patient management. The therapist works closely with the patient, family and other members of an interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective individualized patient care. Therapists also serve as advocates and promoters of health, wellness, and fitness to all stakeholders. They serve as educators and mentors for therapy students, peers and other medical professionals. The physical therapist assists with department and program planning.

*Primarily for full-time work this summer, but then supplemental to pick up weekends and/or during school breaks during the rest of the year.


Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota as a Physical Therapist. Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, decision making and problem solving. 
Prefer board certification in clinical specialty area and/or advanced degree in health care field. 
Also prefer active participation within professional organization. Current physical therapy licensure in the state of Minnesota.

Monday - Friday hours offered on an as-needed basis in Mayo Clinic Hospital - Rochester, Saint Marys Campus. Orientation to Mayo Clinic Hospital - Rochester, Methodist Campus would be offered to supplemental staff also if interested.

Weekend hours offered on an as-needed basis in Mayo Clinic Hospital - Rochester, Saint Marys Campus. Orientation to Mayo Clinic Hospital - Rochester, Methodist Campus would be offered to supplemental staff also if interested.
