Job Description As a Junior Rigging Engineer, you will support the planning, coordination, and safe execution of lifting and rigging activities across construction and industrial projects.

Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will assist in developing lift plans, performing basic calculations, preparing drawings, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. This role is designed for fresh engineering graduates who are eager to build a career in heavy lifting, rigging, and construction engineering. Key Responsibilities: Assist in reviewing and preparing lifting and rigging plans for routine and turnaround activities.

Support senior engineers in monitoring lifting operations to ensure adherence to safety procedures and best industry practices. Participate in prelift meetings and help document action items and improvement opportunities. Aid in the selection and verification of lifting equipment to ensure compliance with company and international standards.

Help maintain and organize documentation required for lifting and rigging operations, including method statements, risk assessments, and plot plans. Contribute to basic rigging studies, lift sketches, and equipment layout drawings under supervision. Assist in reviewing transport plans and documents related to jacking, skating, and load movement.

Learn to perform basic crane ground loading checks and support the identification of underground services or potential hazards. Support the team in ensuring heavy haul trailers and cranes meet ground loading requirements for designated travel routes. Basic Job Requirements Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Strong interest in heavy lifting, rigging, cranes, and construction engineering.

Basic understanding of engineering principles related to loads, forces, and structural behavior. Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, contractors, and vendors. Willingness to learn applicable local and international lifting and safety standards.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a timesensitive environment. Familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation is an asset; willingness to develop drafting skills is required. Commitment to learning project-specific lifting and HSE standards.

Other Job Requirements Preferred Qualifications P.Eng designation considered an asset. Internship or project experience related to construction, lifting, or mechanical design. Basic knowledge of lifting equipment such as mobile cranes, overhead cranes, chain blocks, forklifts, or manlifts

Exposure to risk assessments, method statements, or engineering documentation. Understanding of fundamental rigging concepts (slings, shackles, lifting points, load charts).
