As a Product Owner, you will be a passionate and skilled leader, defining and validating what teams will achieve during each Product Increment (PI). You will be a key contributor to Skywise Flight Planning vision.

Your expertise will have a tangible, worldwide impact as you guide our SAFe software delivery teams to help the aviation industry operate more efficiently and safely, making a true difference and helping talented and motivated teams reach new heights.

More specifically in Skywise, the Product Owner is a key asset turning the business / operational needs collected with the Product Management into User Stories, and then working closely with the development team to get these User Stories properly implemented and validated as per the Definition of Done objectives.

The candidate will be asked to lead by example on the deployment of Lean-Agile principles, breaking the silos, and ensuring any development fits with the overall Portfolio framework vision.

The candidate will also be active in ensuring that Skywise processes are successful in bridging the gap between "by the book" recommendations and daily practices which can be more driven by business objectives.

As Skywise is looking for efficiency, flexibility and focus on value, the candidate will be working within the development team and significantly contribute to its performance. To promote this flexibility and focus on value, the candidate must transition between functional and technical domains effectively.

This position is open to fulfill the need for Product Owner on multiple teams.

Must Haves:

  • Engineer or Master degree in software engineering or aeronautics or commensurate experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Product Owner or equivalent

  • Solid experience in the Aviation industry, noticeably Flight Operations and associated digital solutions.

  • Experience in SAFe

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills

  • High energy, driven to innovate, and a team player

  • Strongly focused and self-motivated to overachieve goals

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with senior management, customers and partners

  • Working experience on Agile project management tools (Agility/VersionOne, Jira, etc)

  • English negotiation level

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with continuous delivery, DevOps, and release management

  • Graduate with several years of Software delivery experience.

  • Background in BA, QA or software development is highly desirable
