Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of enterprise software solutions that improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and business processes. This role requires collaboration across multiple technical teams and stakeholder groups to rapidly develop, prototype, and deliver innovative software capabilities.

The successful candidate will work throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design through implementation, deployment, and sustainment. This position requires strong technical versatility, ownership of deliverables, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, users, and technical teams to understand business requirements and develop effective software solutions.
  • Gather, analyze, and document user requirements and system needs.
  • Independently lead feature development and manage work through the full software development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services.
  • Integrate solutions across multiple systems, technology stacks, and development teams.
  • Design and implement intuitive user interfaces and efficient user workflows.
  • Develop data visualization, workflow automation, and process improvement solutions.
  • Create and maintain APIs, backend services, and application integrations.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, technical planning, and system modernization efforts.
  • Support deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production applications.
  • Develop technical documentation, implementation guidance, and system design artifacts.

Required QualificationsEducation and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline and twelve (12) years of relevant experience; OR
  • Four (4) additional years of directly related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Technical Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to develop software solutions across the full technology stack, including:
    • User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) development
    • Middleware and API development
    • Backend application development
    • DevOps and deployment automation
  • Experience developing applications using modern front-end frameworks such as:
    • React
    • Vue
    • Angular
  • Experience developing scripts, automation tools, and services using Python.
  • Experience developing RESTful web applications and APIs.
  • Experience working with Spring Boot and Python-based application frameworks.
  • Familiarity with relational database technologies, including:
    • PostgreSQL
    • SQLite
    • Similar database platforms
  • Experience using GitLab and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies to meet evolving requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting complex software development environments and large-scale application ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with data collection, processing, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience designing workflow automation and operational support applications.
