Brockport, Churchville-Chili, Gates Chili, Greece, Hilton, Holley, Kendall, Spencerport, and Wheatland-Chili.

PAY SCALE: $4,979, or $44.06/hr. for assigned courses
LOCATION: Greece Athena & Hilton High Schools
PROGRAM DATES:
July 9, Staff only, seven (7) hours
July 13-August 17, four (4) hours per day (no school 7/10, 7/17, 7/24, 7/31)
August 18 & 19, seven (7) hours per day, proctoring and scoring exams
August 20, hourly, (if needed) as determined by summer school principal
Must be able to work all dates
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Teach one or two of the following summer school courses:
High School Remedial Courses: Earth and Space Sciences (Regents), Chemistry (Regents), Physical Sci: Chemistry (Regents), Life Sciences: Biology (Regents)
TYPICAL DUTIES:
  1. Plan and teach lessons daily that incorporate student electronic devices.
  2. Prepare students for state assessments; teach to NYS Learning Standards.
  3. Proctor and rate Regents examinations as needed.
  4. Bring own non-consumable materials such as books from home school, stapler, ruler, non-consumable desk supplies. BOCES 2 will provide consumable paper, and dry erase supplies.
  5. Assess student performance and assign numerical grade.
  6. Classroom management, including home contact.
  7. Ensure IEP met for students with disabilities, particularly regarding test accommodations and reasonable classroom modifications (collaborate with on-site teacher consultant).
  8. Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the Regional Summer School site principal.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Previous teaching experience preferred.
Educational: Appropriate New York State Teacher Certification required
