Full Time Position

As the Youth and Camping services manager you will develop, lead, and schedule activities for the Youth Programs and serve as the Camp Director during the summer. Spend hands-on time with students and staff, getting to know them, and assisting staff with programming and behavior management. 


Some duties and responsiblities include: 

  • Keep JCare, J All Days, and Camp J organized, engaging, safe, and running smoothly.
  • Spend hands-on time with kids and staff, assisting with daily programming and behavior management.
  • Create engaging lesson plans and activities that support the physical, mental, and social development of school-age children.
  • Coordinate program schedules, student attendance, classroom ratios, and staff schedules.
  • Supervise and support JCare and Camp J staff, including mentoring counselors and helping them navigate camper behavior and group challenges.
  • Build relationships with parents and guardians and help keep families informed and connected to our programs.
  • Maintain important student and staff records and help ensure programs meet DCY, Step Up to Quality, health, safety, and licensing requirements.
  • Serve as Camp J Director for our 10-week summer camp, helping manage daily operations, staff, camper needs, safety, and behavior.
  • Plan for camp throughout the year, including field trips, enrichment programs, daily schedules, and staff training.
  • Help welcome new families through recruitment, tours, orientations, registration, and student intake.
  • Plan and facilitate special events and programming for children, teens, and families, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Help manage program supplies, equipment, and spaces so our programs are ready for whatever the day brings!

Requirements

 Bachelor's degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working with school age children and teens, enjoy working with children and their families and have a high level of interpersonal communication skills. Ideal candidate has a high level of organization, able to manage multiple projects at once, and experience with GoogleSuite and Microsoft Office. Candidates must pass an FBI/BCI background check and drug screen.
